Joint MSc-PhD Programs in Medical Physics: MSc-PhD

M.Sc. in Molecular Medical Microbiology and Nuclear Medicine are of two years? duration. After completion of M.Sc, eligible candidates may get admission in Ph.D. program as per IIT Kharagpur norms. In Ph.D. work, students will be involved in the relevant clinical-fundamental and applied medical research in collaboration with medical experts. Do Medical Physics students have to undergo compulsory for 12 months? internship in a relevant hospital setting to fulfill essential AERB criteria. This may also be availed as a one-year post-M.Sc. paid internship at Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is mandatory for taking admission in MTech. It is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the IISc & 7 IITs on behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

Master of Science: MS

The M.S. program is research spanning over a minimum period of two years duration and a maximum of 5 years duration. In this program, the candidates are required to do some prescribed courses followed by a thesis work on a broad specialization of the Department.
