The Biostatistics & Medical Informatics (BMI) lab of School of Medical Science & Technology was founded in order to explore medical imaging informatics from clinical data as well as develop biomedical image analytics by advanced statistical modeling and clinical validation. The lab deals with the development of integrated computer vision methodologies and knowledge-based systems for identifying mass screening biomarkers using structural and textural profiles of tissue and cells as well as bio-fluids.
