Children with HIV in India do not have access to Hib or Pneumococcal conjugate vaccines through government programs. Vaccinating this high risk pediatric group could potentially stem pneumonia in adult HIV and other child members of the family by eliminating carriage. Presently our group is carrying clinico-epidemiological studies primarily aiming at generating evidence of these vaccines in Indian population.
